Patrick-Earl Barnes’ solo exhibition, “Art Is How You Think”,  offers self-reflection and placement during this time of Covid, political protest and ensuing economic uncertainty. The exhibition includes more than 41 pieces, including new work and paintings from several collections. These works combined explore our individual and collective judgements and assumptions; individuation versus collective cooperation, collective economics and our physical placement. We reveal our own thought processes and assumptions as we engage with this work. “Art Is How You Think” implores us to look beneath the surface and beyond the obvious. For 20 years Barnes has consistently maintained an open air gallery in Soho and built a strong and loyal following. “Art Is How You Think” allows Barnes to share some of his larger works. Barnes medium and process includes acrylic paint, ink, fabric, paper collage, decoupage and decollage on paper, canvas and wooden vegetable crate ends.
